Upside down, you're turning me
Remember that scene in Halloween when Michael Myers turns up the heat on a jacuzzi and dunks a woman's face in the scalding water until the layers of her flesh peel off and float around like turnip peelings in a winter stew?
That's what it would take to warm me up.
Yesterday was Tolstoy Tuesday. I'm always late.
"If It Doesn’t Rain"
If it doesn't rain,
I'll wander past town lunches,
stepping in time with repeats of mine.
Once the pour starts whining,
I'll leap a far thirty feet
toward this neighbor's yard,
because all I really need
is to smell a walking fireplace.

Finally, I can use the word "assonance" in a sentence.
You have a hot assonance.
Thanks, infant cakes.
