So put up your fists and I'll put up mine

I've learned life is cyclic. I'll eventually find myself back in the bustle. During college, I spent most days ripping at my shoelaces and wondering, "Jesus Hullabaloo Christ, when will I have time to eat today?" Now that I could spend all day long eating candy with no one around to tell me otherwise, that ol' life is looking bittersweeter.

The restaurant closed early this year, so I ain't got no job. No classes. Nothing but my thesis and months of financial uncertainty. Hot damn, it's good to be young and pursuing a pipe dream. Still, we're smack-dab in the middle of a rainy weather marathon -- I think this is day 8 -- and it's hard to feel motivated when I'm Vitamin D deficient. My default is laziness, so I made a to-do list. Ahem:

1. Walk, despite the rain. I ate cheese enchiladas for breakfast and I haven't left this house all day. Come on now.
2. Write.
3. Clean up the storm debris we've been tracking in all week.
4. Get an oil change before my car explodes. Or implodes. Whichever is worse.
5. Don't spend money.
6. Watch the rest of Arrested Development before Blockbuster charges $99.99 to my credit card, just for "security." Jerks.

Courtney arrives tomorrow. I haven't seen her since last August, so I'm quite excited to spend some time with her. Here's hoping she's a cheap date, 'cause I'm buh-roke in the frolicking sense.
